At Health Action New Mexico we work to empower consumers to build healthy communities and secure better health care for their families. Since 1995, HANM has been a consumer and decision maker resource for:

Several realities make access to quality health care in New Mexico a challenge. Almost one in two New Mexicans have no health insurance or are vastly underinsured. We have one of the country’s highest poverty levels, and as a large rural state, many areas have few health care services available.
Our team works in partnership with local organizations, faith-based entities, civic groups, businesses, everyday citizens, and community advocates statewide to bring about change. We share the latest factual information, advocacy tools and updated resources needed to promote leadership and a consumer voice on health issues.
