Big Hair, Big Care

Sheridan Jobe Olympian University, Albuquerque NM created on Mon December 30, 2013

My name is Sheridan Jobe. I live here in Albuquerque, NM. I work at Olympian University. I am a Cosmetology instructor for Phase 2 in the Clinic 4. I currently do not have health insurance. The University offered me $200 a month for a health insurance plan, but that’s way to expensive for me to afford.

I got behind on IRS bills and things pilled up and I even had to skip a month on my car insurance to get caught up on a couple bills from the IRS. That’s just one more thing I can’t pay for, is health insurance, and no matter how cheap it is. Which might help, but I don’t want just any type of insurance, especially where I have to pay large co-pays. With the $200/month plan offered to us, even those co-pays were still a lot; they were like $60. If you’re going to spend all that money on insurance then why do you need to go and have a co-pay, you could just take that $500.00 they take out of your paycheck and pay for your own doctor’s visits.

Really good insurance, affordable insurance, would be very beneficial at this point.
