Susana Martinez appointed an anti-Obamacare activist to the panel that will run the New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange.
This is the key part of the health care reform legislation for the states and is where many of those without health insurance now will purchase health insurance. The exchanges are run by the states and it is not a federal exchange.
J. Dianne Waldman is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. Martinez’s office describes him as a consumer advocate — but he is one that has had harsh things to say about Obamacare.
